THE FUTURE OF HEALTHCARE, IN AFRICA
Our mission is to use technology to connect patients with doctors. By taking advantage of the growing use of smartphones and connectivity in Africa, we aim to facilitate access to quality healthcare for millions of people living in Cameroon, and ultimately Africa. Technology enables us to remove geographic barriers, eliminate time constrains and ultimately, reduce costs of consultations.
WHAT WE DO
We are leveraging technology to provide accessible and affordable medical care to all Cameroonians, and eventually, all Africans.
Remove geographic barriers to medical access.
Offer users options for immediate or on-demand consultations. From phone, computer or in-person.
Partnering with local medical labs, pharmacies and clinics to facilitate care. From diagnosis, to treatment, to follow-up.
Enable all Africans to live longer, healthier lives.
WELLCAM IS SOLVING PROBLEMS
Our solution is aimed at solving the 5 key problems with healthcare delivery in Cameroon, and Africa as a whole.
Challenges include weak public health leadership, weak management and poor resource allocation
Low service delivery due to poor structural infrastructure, unreliable supply systems
Corruption diverts much-needed resources, bureaucracy delays much needed improvements
Low investments in health, and lack of health financing policies and strategic plans
Sub-Saharan Africa has the most severe health workforce shortage, with many seeking opportunities abroad
